Privacy policy
This page explains what happens to the information you give us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be scrolled past.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website we collect the name, email address and telephone number you give us, the service you say you are interested in, the yacht your enquiry relates to if you started from a yacht page, and the message you write. Nothing else on this site asks you for personal information.
We do not ask for financial details, passport information or identity documents through this website. If a transaction reaches the stage where those are required, your broker will arrange a secure route for them separately.
Why we use it
We use what you send us for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and to continue the conversation you started. That means passing it to the broker or manager best placed to help, and contacting you by email or telephone using the details you provided.
We do not sell your details. We do not share them with third parties for their own marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful to the relationship, and no longer than is reasonable for a business of this kind. Where an enquiry leads to a charter, a sale or a management agreement, the associated records are retained for the period required by the relevant commercial and tax obligations.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, and object to us using it. You can also ask for a copy in a portable format.
We will respond to any of these requests within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you are entitled to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
Security
Enquiries submitted through this website are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in access-controlled systems. Access is limited to the people who need it in order to answer you.
No system is perfect. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will publish the new version on this page. Material changes to how we use enquiry information will be described here rather than made quietly.
